Gator Warning

Be alert for alligators ~ especially around the retention ponds at the Bayshore Townhouses property.

This is a precautionary warning. There have been no incidents with alligators.

Alligators do not see adult humans as food, but a pet probably looks like a tasty snack.

There are no known nests here this year, but occasionally alligators have been seen walking through the property this spring.

History lesson: Several years ago a gator raised her babies near a culvert under Oyster Bayou Way. She would gather them in her mouth then back into the culvert whenever people approached. Most residents were unaware of the family, and few actually saw them. The family eventually moved on.

Again, no interactions between alligators and humans or pets have been reported. Let's keep it that way!

PS: It's a misdemeanor in Florida to feed alligators or crocodiles.

Welcome to 2019!

The HOA sent a one-page letter to all the residents, and the Ameri-Tech manager for the property included a business card - reproduced on the right. Evidently Ameri-Tech mailed it because their logo and return address appeared on the envelope.

The key contact information from the card is published below:

  • Beverly Neubecker, LCAM
  • Office: (727) 726-8000 ext 302
  • EMail:
(email addresses are not case sensitive)
The letter listed the names of the 2019 Board of Directors and their respective titles.

The letter directed all repair/maintenance issues and questions to the property manager. However, residents are told to contact the directors at the email address given.

In 2019, residents should look for:
  • A new landscaping company beginning March 1, 2019
  • New mulch and landscaping will be added, while invasive species of trees will be removed.
  • Irrigation updates and repairs forthcoming in 2019.
  • Signs throughout the community have recently been cleaned.
The rest of the letter contained the usual reminders...

PS: Rick Jaggers is not on the Board, so he's only summarizing the information in the letter.
